Starting June 1, 2025, selling or supplying any single-use vapes will be banned in the UK[i]. This ban, part of the Government's Environmental Protection (Single-use Vapes) (England) Regulations 2024, and applies to all disposable devices, whether they contain nicotine or not.
Understanding the Disposable Vape Ban
A main goal of the upcoming UK disposable vape ban on June 1, 2025, is to reduce the environmental impact of devices that have been disposed of incorrectly. Disposable vapes often end up in landfills, and their lithium-ion batteries pose a fire risk. The ban applies to all single-use vapes - those designed to be thrown away after the e-liquid runs out or the battery dies.
Online retailers and stores will need to remove listings for disposable vapes once the ban becomes law. That’s why we at Totally Wicked are preparing now and encouraging customers to make an early transition to alternatives. It’s also worth noting that while the law prevents retailers like us from selling these products after the deadline, as a vaper, you'll still be allowed to use any disposable vapes you have already stocked up on. It's the sale and supply that will be prohibited, not the personal use of previously purchased items.
