VLTZ Ultra is a range of Nic Salt E-liquids produced by Totally Wicked with flavour chasers in mind. This e-liquid formulation, often referred to as Bar Salts, takes the sweet flavours (which were first widely experienced in disposable vapes), amplifies them to extreme levels, and bottles them in a 10ml container. If you're the type of vaper who likes a subtle menthol taste or a slight fruity undertone, then you may as well stop reading now, as this e-liquid is not for you. However, if you like your flavours big, your throat hit smooth, and your harshness low, then strap yourself in, as you're in for a treat.
I was given the opportunity to sample all ten flavours of VLTZ Ultra. In this review, I'll give my thoughts on each flavour, suggest the best kits to pair with Ultra, and reveal how it complements the VLTZ family.
Let's Talk About VLTZ Ultra Flavours
The formulation, stewardship, and attention to detail that goes into crafting an e-liquid are each incredibly important and ultimately what makes an e-liquid a hit. However, I will admit that the ingredients and measures taken to ensure quality control and consistency aren't always the most exciting topics, so let's first start with the flavours.
Initially, VLTZ Ultra is available in 10 flavours, which are based on the most popular options from the very popular original VLTZ E-liquid.

I've tried all of these flavours in original VLTZ e-liquid, with Rainbow Burst being my go-to. I was keen to find out whether these e-liquids could surpass what I believed to be already very intense flavours.
Banana Ice
I was slightly dubious about trying the iced flavours in this range, as they can often catch my throat a little and cause me to cough. However, this VLTZ Ultra Banana Ice had an incredibly smooth throat hit, even at the 2% strength I was sampling. This was a very pleasant surprise and marked my realisation that I could enjoy that icy kick I'd been craving in this new range. Banana is by no means a flavour I would usually go for, but I must say I enjoyed it, and the intensity of flavour made me know I was in for a treat with the rest of the range.
Blue Razz Lemonade
Now, this is a flavour that wets my appetite. Blue Razz Lemonade was initially my preferred Elf Bar flavour, before moving on to the VLTZ version of this flavour. VLTZ Ultra takes that now very popular flavour combination and levels it up to create a sensation on the senses. This flavour is a work of art and made its way into my top three.
Cherry
Next up was the single but very popular flavour of Cherry. With so many multi-flavour combinations to choose from, sometimes it's nice to sit back and taste the vibrancy of a singular flavour - and cherry in VLTZ Ultra is exactly that. The cherry is extremely pleasant and quickly became part of my all-day vape flavour rotation.
Mixed Berries
Mixed Berries continued the theme of sweetness and intensity in fine form, and the blend of fruits is balanced to perfection. Think of when you get a punnet of blueberries, and some of them are a little bit mushy while others are incredibly juicy. This e-liquid is the equivalent of the incredibly juicy ones, but every time.
Peach Ice
Peach Ice marked three for three on the ice flavours being silky smooth but with a cool blast. Peach-flavoured e-liquid isn't really one of mine, but if you're a peach fan, I'm sure you'll love it.
Pink Lemonade
I have used Pink Lemonade pretty frequently in original VLTZ e-liquid. I was a fan of it then, and I'm an even bigger fan of it in VLTZ Ultra. The Ultra formulation really takes this complex flavour combination to the next level.
Rainbow Burst
Ahh, Rainbow Burst – my all-time favourite e-liquid flavour in original VLTZ E-liquid, which meant a lot of pressure was resting on this one. I've got to say, I was certainly not disappointed! I can safely say this is the best e-liquid I have tried to date, and I anticipate using VLTZ Ultra Rainbow Burst for the foreseeable future… 10/10!
Spearmint Menthol
Spearmint Menthol is as cool as they come. While you may not be able to imagine an intense flavour from a menthol e-liquid, the spearmint kick really shines through and adds true depth to this flavour.
Sweet Strawberry
Sweet Strawberry is an absolute classic. No matter the product – whether it's e-liquid, sweets, or even water – strawberry flavours are usually very popular. This VLTZ Ultra variant does this versatile fruit justice, as it exposes its sweet and juicy taste expertly.
Tropical Mango
To paraphrase Rupert Holmes, "If you like Pina Coladas," you will love this e-liquid. Tropical Mango combines pineapple, banana, and mango, then adds lashings of ice to create a refreshing and smooth vape. A simply delightful combination.
Whilst I do have my general preferences in terms of flavour, I could happily vape any of these 10 VLTZ Ultra favours all day long. The key takeaway is that they were all smooth, all cool, and all ultra-intense!
VLTZ Ultra + Aeromax - The Perfect Companion?
No matter how good an e-liquid is, you always need a great vape kit to showcase the flavour in the right light. VLTZ Ultra will work well in most Totally Wicked or VLTZ devices, including the Lumina, Flex Pro Bar, and Tornado GTL. However, there are two vape kits which really give the VLTZ Ultra flavours the representation they deserve - The Mavro and the Aeromax.
Both kits work in a similar way, with adjustable wattage and low-resistance pods. My preference was the Aeromax, due to the form factor. I used the 0.8-ohm Aero Pods and set the device at 14W, which was perfect for me. However, if you want to take your Ultra Aeromax experience to the extreme level, pick up a 0.4-ohm Aero pod and set it to around 32W!
As VLTZ Ultra is a very sweet Bar Salt e-liquid, it isn't recommended for use with older vape kits with dated coil technology. When purchasing VLTZ Ultra, be sure to check with our customer service team or in-store team whether your device is suitable.
Nicotine Strengths
VLTZ Ultra is available in two nicotine strengths - 2.0% (20mg/ml) or 1.0% (10mg/ml). The standard nicotine strength for most disposable vapes or big puff devices is 2.0%. However, since I moved away from disposable vapes and onto refillable kits quite some time ago, I have reduced my nicotine strength.
I, therefore, opted for the 1.0% strength, but if you're used to the 2.0% strength of disposables, you may want to start on the higher strength and reduce to a 1.0% when you feel comfortable.
Final Thoughts on VLTZ Ultra E-liquids
To round things up, this e-liquid really did blow me away. Nic Salt Liquids don't get much more intense than this! Just as I thought original VLTZ E-liquid had scratched my itch for strong, sweet flavours, VLTZ Ultra went one step further and welcomed me to a world of ultra-intense e-liquids I didn't know existed.
I've always been a huge fan of the whole VLTZ family. From original VLTZ e-liquid to the VLTZ Flex Pro Bar and the VLTZ-X Spin, this intense range has always hit the sweet spot for vape flavours and reliability. Ultra simply takes it to the next level. For all the VLTZ e-liquid fans out there, don't worry – the original VLTZ e-liquid is going nowhere. So, if you like intense e-liquids, go for VLTZ; if you like ultra-intense e-liquids, then go Ultra!
